Abstrak

To open up areas that are still isolated, infrastructure development—especially in the transportation sector—has always been of utmost importance. Building road infrastructure is one of the infrastructure developments that is still being developed and accelerated. The primary issue with building roads is that the foundational soil does not match the anticipated standards and specifications. When laying the foundation for any kind of structure—buildings, roads, or water features—good subgrade soil is essential. Determining the strength capacity of cement-stabilized soft soil synthetic granular material is the goal of the study. This study employed a lab-scale modeling approach to conduct loading tests on column elements with synthetic granular filling and steel frame reinforcement. This study was conducted at Hasanuddin University's Faculty of Civil Engineering's Soil Mechanics Laboratory. Several conclusions can be made from the testing and discussion that is described in Research Results and Discussion. These include the use of CBR and Compressive Strength testing to find cement and the addition of water to change the composition of the synthetic granular mixture. As a result, the ideal cement addition of 12.5% of the soil sample's weight was found. water content (w/c) of 1.9.
